Samantha Pleet, Spring 2007

Samantha Pleet, Spring 2007 Collection
Samantha Pleet gives the public her taste of the world through her capture of it, and its usage. The world interests her, as she is known to roam it in search of beauty and mystery.
In her searches she has formulated an appealing European style that is a fashion-for-daily-adventures; in which sincere youthful pettiness is worn over blatant maturity.
Samantha Pleet debuts a fresh line for Fall 2007, enthused by a trip to England. While in London, she had apparently picked up a mens-wear uniform idea for girls, which she ultimately translated to uniform tan jackets, red skirts with black leggings, and oversized black bows in the colors of an academy.
In her past spring line one might have seen things like black jumpers, striped hooded one-pieces, and first mate tanks. While she works mostly with knits, corduroys and wools are appearing more in this latest set.
Between a tartan tree dress and boots, pirate vests and striped fisherman tanks, and rompers with short pixie dresses, Samantha Pleet’s collections have the tasteful appeal of a dusty old trunk of woolies and a stubborn, pale-faced girl.
